"Be Kind. Don't Judge. Don't Take more than you need"
The Balance Yahweh Intended
For thousands of years, a religious story has been told that the weight of the world’s burdens rests on the shoulders of women. We are told they are the cause of the "downfall," but my heart and history tell me a different story. Mankind has long struggled to make sense of a world it didn't understand, and we may never know exactly what caused the harmful crack in the balance between men and women. Perhaps it was the moment man first collided with his own ego. The resulting damage and pain have been as immense as they were unnecessary. Even now, humanity struggles to overcome ego, pride, and ignorance. I grieve for both the feminine and the masculine.
To find the truth needed to heal this imbalance, we must face it openly. It is never easy to talk about the male ego and jealousy, yet they are evident throughout our history. Women were tasked with being "a mother to all." While many men understood this as a divine plan, many others did not. Sadly, that sacred mindset began to get lost when men decided that laws were needed to control every aspect of the human experience. Very early in our history, the inherent strength of women began to be viewed as a threat.
Back in the early years of Egypt, a Queen decided to become the leader of her country after her husband died, an act that was almost unheard of at the time. She dressed as a male pharaoh to demonstrate she had the strength and knowledge to protect her country. She proved herself in remarkable ways. Her name was Hatshepsut. She brought wealth and peace to Egypt through trade, while most leaders thought war was the only way to show strength. Hatshepsut showed strength through kindness and fairness. She accomplished what many had tried and failed and was widely admired during her life.
However, after her death, there were men who did not want her legacy to be revered. They felt so threatened that they literally scraped her face from the many statues and carvings that were created during her reign. They wanted her history deleted, because she was a woman who overcame the ego, and in doing so she made men feel weak.
For a time, Egypt unknowingly demonstrated the secret to the divine balance between men and women. But as the centuries passed, more male leaders created more rules and laws of the land, and the disdain for women became more apparent. Then, when the Bible was written, the blame for the hardships of life was placed squarely on women. These writings effectively began stripping power from the feminine, allowing ego and ignorance to take hold in profound ways.
I think about the stories I read about the times of Kings and Queens where a woman was blamed if she did not have a son. These women were shunned, cast aside, or even executed. As medical knowledge grew, it was proven that the man actually determines the sex of a child. The hatred of women in the past was sheer ignorance, fed by ego that needed to control what it could not understand. I believe that very early on, women realized they had the right to simply say, “no,” but their voices were quickly silenced.
By the 18th and 19th centuries, women were being diagnosed with hysteria, a term applied almost exclusively to women. Oddly enough, most of the symptoms were related to emotions like anxiety, irritability, depression, and even laziness. This was another case of men not wanting to take responsibility for the environment they had created.
This subject is deeply difficult to write about. I speak as a woman, but not from anger or a desire for superiority over men. I am searching for the divine balance Yahweh intended. Yahweh never intended for men to be superior. We have all seen those who feel the need to put others down in order to feel bigger themselves. We must stop blaming the “mirror” for what we do not like about ourselves.
Free will must be returned to women. Men and women are unique, yet we are not so different. Currently, society and religion grant free will to men while suffocating the life out of women, forcing them to "cover up" both literally with clothes and figuratively by silencing their history and emotions. This silence harms men, too; their best selves are being stolen by the very ego, and jealousy they use to control others. Religion and stories created by men still strongly encourage this.
No God, by any name, created rules to trap people in misery. Neither man nor woman was meant to be forced to stay in an unhappy or unhealthy marriage. Young girls were never meant to be forced into marriages with grown men. These were religious and cultural norms created by men to justify their urges and feed their egos.
Furthermore, women were never meant to be stripped of their right to make choices about their own body. Yahweh gave women the responsibility of birth, but He also gave them the wisdom and free will to choose what is best for their bodies and the souls they carry. We must understand that a soul's journey is unique. When an infant leaves this world early, or a miscarriage occurs, it is not the mother’s fault. Sometimes a young soul decides it is not ready for this world yet; that soul will have another chance at life. When a mother feels she cannot be her best as a parent, the young soul understands and will have another chance at life.
In 2007, a mother lost all three of her children in a tragic car crash. A year later, she gave birth to triplets—two girls and a boy, the same as the children she had lost. This was no coincidence; it was a choice made by those young souls. We choose our parents and our journeys from the other side.
When young souls are taken away because of the negative or harmful actions of others, those souls are given another chance at life. Yahweh does not sit in the heavens and pick and choose when people leave this world. These three children passed when they were hit from behind by a careless driver. The driver took them from this life, not Yahweh.
The three children this mother had a year later very well could have been the same beautiful souls. Many children do remember past lives but forget quickly, often because they are not taken seriously. These three children likely chose not to bring the memory of their past into this life. They did not need to carry that horrible memory with them.
We must remember that the journey is always more important than the destination.
Humanity so badly needs to find a way to overcome this ignorance. Religious control is killing the "mothers" of this life and destroying families. The proof is all around us, urging us to unlearn the past and remember who we are. We are here to help and complement each other in divine balance, loved unconditionally. We must take responsibility for our actions and follow the simple guidance: Be Kind. Don’t Judge. Don’t take more than you need. When mankind stops trying to control what it doesn’t understand, ignorance will become a thing of the past—and divine balance can become our future.
A Note from Anita:
This space is a labor of love and a work in progress. I am not a professional web builder or writer; I am simply someone showing up each day, learning how to trust my own voice and the education life has afforded me.
As I refine these thoughts into a future book, you may see sections shift or ideas evolve. This is a living project, and I appreciate your patience as I work to present this journey with the care and honesty it deserves. Thank you for being part of the process.
